The microwave in our kitchen is technically my roommates. He doesn't like the smell of popcorn and claims that it stinks up the microwave. Therefore, he has asked for me to stop cooking popcorn "or else you won't be able to use my microwave anymore." Popcorn happens to be my absolute favorite food and I don't think he should be able to stop me from eating my favorite food because it smells for a bit afterwards. What do you guys think? Does he have the right to stop me from eating my favorite food?
for those who suggested getting my own microwave, I actually HAD my own microwave when I moved in. I was the last of my roommates to move in and our kitchn is TINY so there's no room. My microwave is in storage (in my parents garage 350 miles away) He also just complains about the general smell of the apartment. He's bolivian and simply doesn't like popcorn I think, since it's never been part of his culture. So should I just continue to make popcorn?
