Okay, so I guess I am going to make this as short as possible.
My roommate (or ex roommate now) has major bipolar, and does not medicate himself, it is scary. Anyways. The other day, he sent me a text message that said "I am moving out, find yourself a new roommate B***h!*...and so I sat down and thought about it, and after this being the 4th time (and he had only lived with me for 1.5 months) I decided that I did want him out. So considering he is bipolar, and has a history of aggression, I had a guy friend help me out with telling him to leave. He got mad, started calling me all of these names, so I left him with my friend to help him, and make sure he didn't get aggressive. So after I left he started texting me, telling me that he didn't actually want to leave, he was just saying that because he was mad, and he was sorry. But if you lived with him you would understand that he is crazy, and it is just something that someone can only take so much of. Anyways, so I stood strong, and kicked him out. He WAS NOT on my lease. The only other thing, is that I owe him $220 because when I was low on money, and when he was stable, and not crazy, and breaking stuff in my house, he agreed to help me. Now he says that I have until friday to pay him back, or he is taking me to court...now...without him being on the lease, and without documentation of me owing him money...what can happen? Or what can he do? Not to mention, the MAIN reason I asked him to leave is because 1) he told me he was leaving, so i just agreed 2) over the passed few weeks, I have been quite scared and threated by him and his aggression, and i didnt feel safe anymore.
I guess legal advice wasn't the right words, I guess I just want advice in general. I have filed a police report about not wanting him around the apartment because I do not feel safe, and I am scared about him. And well, yes, I have filed a report.

I appreciate everything that has been said so far. I did just get off of the phone with the police, and found out that he has a very damaged criminal record...not sure what for, they could not tell me that. But I am at the point where I just want to figure this out, I am scared.
Also, keep in mind, I did not necessarily "kick him out" he was the one that sent me the text message saying "I am moving out, so start looking for a new roommate, NOW". I just told him if he wanted to leave then leave.
