Because to get welfare you need to be under a certain poverty level.

If your above that level why are u complaining? its pretty black and white.
A. Your Poor and your in the requirements for welfare
B. Your not poor and you don't meet the requirements.

Its not discrimination at all. Because its not punishing you for not being poor. You can be poor if u want to and they will give you welfare just like ANYONE else.

Your Analogy doesnt fit the topic at hand. Its not the same thing.

What a vapid argument. "You have the right to be as racist as you want to be. But you cant Impose on anyone else"s freedom in that process." That sentence has absolutely no meaning, there's no information in it. How do you define freedom? It sounds like its whatever makes you feel nice and pretty inside. Do you have the freedom to a businesses services, regardless of the sellers willingness to provide the service to you (not really sure how that could qualify as a freedom), or do you have the freedom to engage in voluntary contracts, where BOTH sides must willingly agree to the terms?

It's as simple as that.

If I choose to run a business, why should anyone have a RIGHT to use my business?

Say I post something for sale on craigslist, should I have the right to not sell it to someone for whatever reason I choose? Or should I be required to sell it to the first person who responds?

If someone runs a private business, it's their time, it's their property, it's their products, why does anyone have a RIGHT to any of it?

Show me in the Constitution where it says that businesses can discriminate against people because of the color of their skin.

You could literally say that ANYTHING is your "right".

"Its my right to murder a bunch of people. The government can't take that from me."

The fact is, in this country, you do not have the right to open a gas station that doesn't allow Arabs to patron it.

You really don't get it. They have issue with the fed telling private organizations who they can associate with, not ending insitutional racism...

So what about Robert Byrd who filibustered against the Civil Rights Act? We pretty much know how he stands on the issue.

Oh wait, he is a Democrat lets ignore it.

Grievances like a lack of equal treatment?

Freedom (as i see it) is the right to express ones self to the fullest ability.

With that you have the freedom and right to Shoot someone in the face if u wanted to, but you will suffer the consequences and go to jail for aggravated murder and get butt-raped for 20-life.

Under the freedom of speech you can say whatever the fuck you want. A business can put up a sign that says " Fuck you nogs, chinks, gooks, rag heads, jews, fags, and left handed people" but they still have to take your legal tender.

I bet you don't like the FDA either? "Damn them, the Gov telling Business how to make food and drugs safe so that lil billy wont possibilly shit out of his mouth and eye's due to some fuck-up/negligence on their part"

Why do you think Businesses should be above the law?

Why does him paying taxes in the town mean anything? We are talking about a privately owned business. The government doesn't fund and run the business, the man paying taxes means absolutely nothing.
