Ron Paul: Americans will riot when their entitlements run out

the people rioting in london/etc and in flash mob beatings around the usa are are the underclass (even though they have free healthcare, guaranteed jobs for life in gov, free money for food, guaranteed income just for having children, big screen tvs, rims, etc and not to mention legal cover for organized violence)

Pride is foolish.

If someone says to me "meet these qualifications and we'll give you $100 a month" and I meet those qualifications you can bet your ass I am taking the $100 a month. I don't care what it was intended for, or if I actually need it, ESPECIALLY since I'll be forced to put money in the pot it comes from my entire life either way. People do what is in their self interest and I wouldn't have it any other way. If the system isn't being used as intended then it is up to the proprietors of that system to change it accordingly, it's not my responsibility to turn down free money because I am not sure if the intent of the system was for me to get it.

Agreed. It should be abolished. It is everything that is wrong with this country. When you remove the incentive to succeed and/or the consequences of failure you end up with far more people failing and far less people succeeding. Worse yet, the failures who survive on the forced good will of everyone else develop a sense of entitlement, like they DESERVE to be taken care of. They need to know what pieces of shit they really are before they can decide to not be a piece of shit, and how will they ever know that if we keep giving them everything they need... surely they deserve, who would give things to people who are undeserving?
