Hi, I was wondering if anyone can give me legit advice! I'm planning to get the Blackberry 9700 but I don't want to get the data plan.
My original plan had been to simply get a 3 year contract + student plan, but a friend said that getting a blackberry, they include the data plan - whether you plan to use the internet or not.
SO, I was wondering if I could just buy the phone at Rogers, by itself (400-500$), than get a rogers student plan (30$) - that way i don't get the data plan? Will that work?

BUT, if that doesn't work, and they make me get the data plan, does the "data block" help me any with reducing how much i pay per month or is it just stopping me from going on the internet while still paying for it?
