ROGERS/AT&T Google N1 vs HD2

Now that it is possible to get 3G on both I am looking at purchasing one of these.

I know you get a larger screen and more custom roms with the HD2 and that the N1 has a higher quality screen, but with the advantages and disadvantages of each device, which one is the one to go with given the fact that the HD2 is about a $300+ price difference for the t9319 version.

Nexus One -- no question in my mind, I think.

The HD2 is a powerhouse, but it feels much like a Ferrari body kit on top of a regular car. You'll get a good experience in many ways, but at the end of the day what's inside is weak. The moment you leave HTC's interface, you're stuck with bad old Windows Mobile. And you will never have an official upgrade to Windows Phone 7, so I wouldn't hold out for that.

What sells the Nexus One is mostly Android. It's meant for finger touch and much more intuitive. It has a web browser that can actually render pages properly, too. Further, Android Market is already a lot more vibrant than Windows Mobile is (and remember, Win Mobile 6's app market is effectively dead this year).

And one thing you might not know about the Nexus One: it has exceptional call quality. It's using dual microphones and noise cancellation, so sound as a whole is noticeably better than most phones.

ah Good to know. I didn't mind windows mobile cause of the customization ability but yeah it looks terrible and the way windows 7 Is looking in terms of that being in control, they take that away much like an iphone. Think Im officially going with the N1 Time to put the iphone up for sale.
