Rogers and Live Messenger.....

Anyone using Live Messenger with Rogers? I'm using a 8320, program, i try to logo on but says i need service books.....but also wondering if Rogers does not support it. Is live messenger only support on US carriers?

Bell has the Live Messenger on the 8703 and maybe the 8800. I've tried to get the service books to work on my 8100 but it hasn't worked. Maybe someday they will release it.

I'm using JiveTalk, which has Microsoft's Messenger, Yahoo and others as well. Works fine. I tried installing MSN Messenger and LIve onto Blackberry but, as a Rogers user, it wouldn't allow it. JiveTalk solved that problem.

Hey I work for Rogers Tech Support. If you are on the $15 email light plan, then jivetalk will not work because it uses the internet apn (internet.com), and not the blackberry apn (blackberry.net). With the $15 email plan it blocks all access to internet.com so you cannot use any other messaging clients other than email and blackberry messenger (pin messaging).

You have to use IM+ as it will use BIS-B transport in the settings to connect to the internet.
