Rode my first Harley today.... Ultra limited

Well I went to the dealer and test rode my first Harley. A 2011 red/black ultra limited. I loved it. I was completely comfortable on it. I have not rode, ridden, whatever in about 5 years either. And my last bike was a Honda spirit 750. Big difference in size. My only complaint is the right side heat. It did start to bug me. Felt like my leg was getting sunburnt. I liked the exhaust note stock but that cat'd header does have to go. Man do I have to start saving my pennies.

I bought and installed RJS heat shields and, it made a huge difference. Still, the heat from these things are brutal sometimes. Got caught in wall to wall traffic two weeks ago and the experience was tough. Legs burning, engine overheating, had to wait for a place to pull off and shut down ( 2 hours to go 2 miles..Westover,MA. Air Show) That was only the second time in 3 years that I would have wanted a water-cooled machine. The Harley is what I want though. Although I like and respect all motorcycles, it's the Harley I want and need. Buying used, uses a lot less pennies. Lots of good deals out there for both new and used.

i test drove a harley once and three weeks later bought it so save your pennies and it will be yours before your now it. good luck.
 
Buddy, you are screwed. I went to the Laughlin River Run in April of this year with a Honda Silverwing (600cc scooter) and test drove an Ultra Classic. Two weeks later I bought one and have put 9,000 miles on it in the last 4 months. Start saving more than pennies if you want to get a new one.
 
Like others have said "your screwed" and buy it now! Your health depends on You getting the bike now. You won't be able to eat ,sleep, drink, or have s&# until You got in the garage. Then the bling and upgrade's and...................
