Rocky 7, Rambo 5

I have. I saw it a few months ago.

The only scene in the entire film that actually works is the scene where Rocky visits Mickey's gym and has his flashback.

The rest is atrocious, and embarrassing to watch.

Alien: Resurrection is average. I don't really like Gothic horror all that much.

I loathe any version of Alien 3 with a passion. I love both Aliens and Alien. Two of my favourite films.

Not at all. It's laughable. Right down to Snap's lame Rocky imitation of their hit "The Power".

It takes everything moderately absurd about the final fight in Rocky IV and pumps it up to such ludicrous extremes that it becomes nothing but an insulting joke to not only the Rocky character but the continuity of the films in general.

The continuity between Rocky IV and V is so ridiculous that I already had a big problem with the film merely fifteen minutes in upon my first viewing, and any viewing since for that matter.

Even if he were considering making further sequels, he wouldn't be "looking at scripts", he'd be writing them. I love these forums but the main site itself neeRAB to research stories more often instead of just repeating them from newspapers and other sites.

I must say that I can never understand these people who are moaning as soon as they hear there will be a Rambo V or Rocky 7 -- for god's sake, if you are not keen on it, just don't WATCH it !! no one is going to force you to ! but why do you not want the film to be made and no one else to watch it either?

I have seen Rambo 4 and to me and indeed looking at the reviews on Amazon, to a lot of people out there is was a superb action film! yet I remember there were people on forums like this going back a couple of yrs ago who were moaning at another Rambo film being made , thank goodness Sly Stallone didnt listen 2 you guys!

I mean lets face it there are 100s of films being made every year, you have a choice to watch what you want, its not like the government has set a quota on only 10 films per year, and you people are maybe worried about Sly Stallone using up and wasting two of those spaces with something that you are not keen on.

As far as I'm concerned, I hope Sly Stallone goes on to make as many Rocky and Rambo films as he can -- I shall watch every one as a fan , as for those who dont want to - well, you can watch something else instead - you have plenty to choose from.. :D

I am not keen on Rocky at all, so it would be a no from me to anything to do with that franchise that should be put to rest.

As for Rambo, it was a series I liked. I found that even though Rambo 4 failed to capture the atmosphere of the first three. It was good in it's own right. The movie completed the circle for the series.
He left home to go to war and at the end of the fourth movie he went back home to his dad's ranch. He came full circle. It should be left like that.
If Stallone makes another Rambo movie him and all his movies from here on out can **** off. And I will have lost respect for the man and what he has accomplished in the action movie scene. Don't milk Rambo anymore it has a perfect ending on 4.

From what I've seen of the new Rambo it looks quite fun. Rocky 6 was a bad idea as the oremise was just laughable.

Sly is 61 and looks great for his age. As for looking for something else to play, his acting abilities are limited and he realises this which is why he's stuck with the "dumb action hero" type.

Always comes accross as a lovely guy, though & obviously loves his work.

He should really end Rambo with the fourth film tbh. It's a good watchable film. But the film lacks any real plot. And the ending is a nice way to finish the character.

The only other way for another Rambo, is to go the Die Hard route. Have Rambo having to storm a building, taking out terrorists or something.

On Jonathan Ross the other night Sly specifically said that Rocky Balboa was the end of the Rocky franchise, so i think we can safely say that Rocky has definitely been put to bed this time. He did show interest in returning to Rambo though.

Well as a big fan of the Rocky series, I always stick up for Rocky 5. I am more of a fan of the storyline ones as opposed to the "all american, all action" ones (namely 3 and 4).

There is a hint of realism with Rocky 5, even though the fight scene naturally wouldn't happen off course fighters have lost their money. I thought the story was excellent.

Rocky 4 was just another no retreat, no surrender... and while Rocky 3 was a good action flick - it was a bit lightweight incomparison to 1 and 5.

Sly fulfilled a life long question for me when appearing on Jonathan Ross the other night.

When asked how he rates Rocky V out of ten, his response was quite simply "Zero".

Couldn't have said it better myself. Rocky V is pitiful. It's the only Rocky film I do not own, and don't ever wish to own.

As for all the people that like to call themselves fans and shamefully defend it? There is no coming back from that.

"It came directly from the horse's mouth." ;)
