Rockford fosgate p3 punch dual voice coils?

I'm looking at gettin 2 12" rockford fosgate p3 punch's and i have a 2000 watt amp but with my last subs they only had one voice coil to hook the wires into the sub. so i hook the positive and negative wire into the sub and the other into the other sub. But with these ones, they have another spot on the other side of the sub to hook more wires into. Do i need to hook more wires into it? Try to explain as best as you can
