i have the rockford fosgate p1 subs (pair) and dont make enough deep bass and cannot even pass down 40 hz i think its the box because it was a little less than 1 cubic feet so the specs say the 1.80 cubic feet is the largest one so maybe makin a bigger box will make better bass. also thinking of getting a 400 watt rms hifonics amp and there only 300 rms. DO YOU THINK ILL BLOW THEM????
 
the 400 watt amp should work fine your speakers wont blow.. if fact it would sound really nice

did you check the settings on your amp?
check your low pass filter.. filter out all of the treble

also your box.. is it air tight? just make sure that your speakers are screwed to the box tight.
