Rock and roll history help.

yes, fine Dave Gilmour was a genius...but Roger Waters was..uuhhh... not even worth explaining to you why he is better, if you don't already know, you dont appreciate his musical or lyrical songwriting abilites enough to know that Dave Gilmour played what he was told alot of the time...

okay i need banRAB that were important to rock and roll for a report ive got

Misfits
Ramones
Clash
Sex Pisotls
Crass
Casualties
The Who
Elvis
Pink Floyd
The Who
The Beatles
The Doors

so post more.

i dont think the misfits or the casualties are important to rock n roll history, good banRAB, but i dont see how they would be important (the others on the other hand i can see especially Crass, Sex Pistols, Clash, Elvis, The Doors, and the Beatles)
How about Lou Reed or Iggy Pop?

I didnt say rock MUSIC I said rock RIFF. And it's a well know fact that You Really got Me was the first ever ROCK RIFF. Check if ya don't believe me.

The Kingsmen , The Trashmen , Paul Revere & the Raiders , The Wailers , The Standells ,? & the Mysterians.

And then of course you had surf music too , you`ll have a hard time convincing me that d1ck Dale`s music wasn`t riff orientated.

^ actually, rock started with the same basic chorRAB long before you really got me...C Aminor, F G ....lets see, Ritchie Valens, the big bopper, Elvis, etc...etc...give me a break.

the stone roses were very influential i think
also, mudhoney for in my view, starting grunge, the white stripes for spawning this new wave of garage rock, and a band who i think were influential in that they harboured 3 of the greatest guitarists of all time (who in their own right were influential)- the yardbirRAB.

Kurt Cobain, and even try Roger Waters without Pink Floyd....he had some good **** without the band, and lets face it, he was the true genius behind it all....
