Robin Hood trailer (new Ridley Scott & Russell Crowe)

mmm, not hugely over whelmed by that trailer for some reason

the music does not do the imagery justice

sure it will be cool,though!
 
I like the use of music in the trailer, goes well with the editing in the trailer. 300 did the same sort of thing too. You have the film to see how the actual score music goes well with the scenes.

Apart from the slow motion coming out of the water cheesy scene, I like the look of it.
 
Maybe they're doing a version of Robin Hood with a different actor from different countries in alphabetical order??

To be honest I didnt know that Ridley Scott was making a version of Robin Hood with Russell Crowe.

The Kevin Costner version was a bore due to his lack of charisma, and THAT scene in Sherwood when he asked the crowd to swear an oath to King Richard was very embarrassing.

The ONLY version which has stood the test of time is the Errol Flynn Version made in 1939. To this day, it remains a classic version of Robin Hood and has never been surpassed. Have a look at that same oath scene with Flynn and you will see what I mean. Pure Class!

However, I look forward to seeing the new one, after all they did a great job with Gladiator.
 
I'm not bothered now about other countries actors playing British and vice versa, it's called ACTING. If the actor or actress can pull off a good accent of whatever character they are playing, I really don't see the problem at all.
 
I've been looking forward to this a lot but just found that trailer completely underwhelming. Obviously I'm not going to write it off without seeing it, but I'm not sure whether Russell Crowe will make a very good Robin. Hopefully I will be proved wrong.



Think you're forgetting the 1973 Disney version. :D
 
Yes, her role as Galadriel really did cause the LOTR trilogy to flop big style. Cate Blanchett is a truly gifted actress.

Its Ridley Scott and it's historical, can't go wrong in my opinion.
