I was just wondering if I can sign up for cricket (They don't have service in my part of New York, but they have in other parts of new york), and if I sign up, wo0uld I be able to roam on verizon's network? Thanks

no, cricket will only allow you to use their network.. that's why they're unlimited minutes..

The unlimited minutes are on Cricket; They do have off-network roaming but the mins are not unlimited...their roaming service is TravelTime (or something like that) and the rates are 0.59/min or something like that (I also think that they roam on VZ)

Yeah, TravelTime is what its called, and actually, It costs $5.00 for 30 minutes of TravelTime.

$5/month gets you 30 minutes, whether or not you use all 30. after the initial 30 is used up it's $.59/minute, must be paid for out of the flex bucket, so if you are leaving the area make sure you got enough money in there. good luck to add funRAB once you are out of the area.

if cricket service is not in your area, then you don't want cricket. it would be cheaper to get just about any pre-paid.

Can't you just dail *PAY to add funRAB? Or does that not work when you are out of the local calling area?

i don't think it works outside of your calling area. just like dialing *611 will not connect you to cricket's customer care.
