Roaming Questions

1. Are Treo's (I have a 755p) able to roam on cricket?
2. In order to activate roaming, do I have to buy a nationwide roaming plan (cricket nation 100/200) or package (nationide roaming minutes: 120/$15, 70/$10 or 30/$5)?

I thought I could just add money to the flex bucket, but customer service tells me I must have either the plan or package.

1. every phone is able to roam if you have the prl for your area and roaming package.

2. add the roaming plan and when you *228 you'll get the new roaming prl for your location. i tried the flex pay package and it also works to get you the roaming prl.

I used my phone wile i was roaming i made 4 calls, everytime the other phone was buisy but it still chared me to roam.I thought it only chargeed if the call conected. I was in my own coverage erea, and when i changrd my phone to home only i was good. How come it roamed in my home coverage erea?

Obviously you were in a location that's a dead spot for Leap, but covered by one of their roaming partners. Just because a carrier covers a certain market doesn't mean they cover every single square inch in that market. There will always be intermittent dead spots, and sometimes a roaming partner may be able to fill in those dead spots.

You answered part of my question. I made 4 calls, every time the other nuraber was buisy but it took 4 travel time minutes from me. I thought it did not charge you unless the other party answers. Or do they charge you just toconnect the call to crickets nation wide travel minute recording?

You may want to read Cricket's terms of service (ToS). Most carriers won't bill you if the line you call is busy. But it's not a regulated business, so if Cricket wants to charge in those cases they can. I would still check their ToS or call CS and inquire as to their policies. Perhaps you can get the charges waived.
