When you remove the headlight you will see the little squeeze clips that hold it in. All you have to do is line them up and push in till they catch. Just make sure they all line up before you push.
First time it took me an hour to get the fairing back on.
Now I can re-install it in seconds. Just line up the outer the fairing with the inner fairing, push up and in. No headlight removal needed.
HOLY SHITE! took seconds to get off and hours to get back on last night and still scared i pushed it into place! Didn't go together easily! Usually don't have to many issues with my bikes but this RGC is a new beast to me. Will be looking at doing it again this afternoon. Just can't take any chance that i may have screwed something up. Only a week old.
BTW... Anybody have any pics up of the install to show what i should be looking for? I do have the Service manual but the reinstall isn't the best instructions when you don't know what clasps you are looking for.
Just to back up what has been said. Last summer to install new speakers I had to take it off. Man was I nervous but this thread and others helped. First time I put it back on without taking the light out and it was an hour ordeal. Since then I have taken the fairing off 3 times and I can have it back on in minutes. That's why I love this site!
