Road Glide Curse

Out for a ride with the wife Saturday and stopped at the dealer that sold me my Road King. Asked if I could test ride the new Road Glide Ultra. Took it down a few roads and was impressed with how well it handled and the braking power was increadable.

Worked out a trade and ordered the Merlot Sungo yesterday. Now the wait. The dealer was going to try and get one from another dealer that has thhis color. Not sure she will have any success as I called 4 dealers that are close to me and none had this color and two did not have any RGC in stock. All of them told me that they cannot keep them in stock as it is the hottest selling bike.

Considered tring to sell my Road King myself, but with 152,000 miles on it I thought that it would be very hard to get anyone to look at it.

I did the same thing. Rode one and ended up trading my 07. Got 13k even after I took 3K of accesories off it. My Paypal is up to $2,500 selling used parts that won't fit on my 2011.

I was the first person on Oregon to own one. Headed for Sturgis with 145 miles on it. Got it up to 4000 already!

I love the color too. Sometimes it's root beer, sometimes it's maroon, sometimes it's even green.

I am looking forward to seeing this color. To me the only two colors I liked was this or the black, but I ride with too many black bikes and did not want to blend in.

Did you stop along the wat to Sturgis to have the 1,000 mile service?

152K? What kind of trade would they possibly give for that many miles? I am impressed.
I have yet to see one in person. The RGUs are sold before they hit the floor.

This bike is the logical extension of the FLT Tour Glide...which no one wanted. Not really sure where the tide turned. Its a beautiful bike. I'm amazed it took this long for the bike to sell like it has. Bat wings beware! Lmao

Yes, had the service done on the road and then changed all 2 holes again when I got home. Made sure to break it in on the way. Bike performed flawlessly except for the heat issues that the new bikes have. It was hotter than H in SD.

When I ask what she (owner) would give me for my bike she ask how many miles on the bike. Now I am thinking she is going to tell me no way she would take in in trade. After I told her she stood there a moment and looked at me before she ask how many on the 103. I told her 30,000. She whent over and looked it over and offered me $7000. We came to an agreement at $7500.
I feel it was a good offer.
