Risers

Read the other posts on risers.... should find a bunch of references to this....

I have the same risers...so I will recount my experience. The old risers are held tight in a rubber bushing that absorbs some vibration... but the Phat risers are bigger and bridge over that bushing to the frame of the triple tee.

I found increased vibration too but I live with it. I put on ISO grips...which have their own issues ( read up on that here too )

I have thought of perhaps slipping a rubber washer in under the phat risers before cinching it down....and not tightenting it quite so tight....but I dunno if that would be sufficiently rigid....??

Gosh you know I never noticed any added vibration. I guess the relief I got in my shoulder from bring the bars back to me outweighed the new vibration.

Now I wish I hadn't read this post because I installed some Phatt riers about a month ago and hadn't noticed any extra vibration....now I probably will:lol4:

Loosen the locking nuts (20mm) under the riser first. Believe me they are torqued tight, then remove caps and handlebars. Now remove the locking nuts and pull the risers out. When I installed my phat risers I used the rubber gaskets from the old risers. I had a vibration (why I posted this), I went back and retorqued the nuts and that took the vibration out.::bluethum:

Risers on Suzuki C50/C90 should be 50 Ft/lbs. I made some 2 inch extensions for my risers, and they work great. I sell them, with pictured instructions, for 25 plus 8 shipping. [email protected] for pix, questions, or order. These mount under your existing factory risers and are clear-coated Aluminum, just like the original risers.
