Ringtones via email

OK. I posted something on the moto board about the v3c and bad ringtones. The problem was that i could get them and obviously they were coming out of the speaker, even the ones i bought. So i had my friend send me some that he has, by the way he has the same phone just on verizon, and he has no problems, anyway he sent me some tones and they didnt work either. I found a post on another board about changing the file name to .mid. Well the problem is that i cant get files via email cause cricket automatically deletes them. So i had josh send them to his phone with the file change and then to me, but then they wouldnt play. Is there anyway i can get some ringtones that will play correctly? I cant buy any cause it still dont work. Is there anyway to get by the email issue? Please give some feedback. Thanks!
 
well heres what i did.....i got a nokia 6165i and it plays mp3s......so just email tha file to your self ....but the file has to be under 300 k.....even if its over by 20 kb cricket will delete it before it gets to your phone.. (idk if this will work for u but i think ur fone plays mp3s but dont know if u can use them as a rign tone like my nokia lets me......but use a audio editing program to short up a song to around 30 seconRAB....save it wit a 64 bit rate, in mono ...it should come to around 250 kb...now jus email it our fone....'also works wit .midi which are real tiny and u can find em anywhere......')
