ok i did the text yourself thing and all, then i pressed 'go to' and went to the link and it downloaded the ringtone to the tones folder. question is, do i have to pay still?

Depends! Do you have free wap on your account? Or free minutes! If you do then no you dont have to pay! But if its just regular wap prices you will have to pay! usually only about 10cent tho!
