fellow club member down on his luck (dlr wise)...the ring gear is shot..i am no expert but i believe it can be bought sepertely instead of having to buy the whole housing ect...dealers are telling him this...anybody set me straight?
Yes you can buy a replacement aftermarket ring gear. You have to grind off the factory rivits and the new one bolts on. I forget who makes them but I had to put one on a softail I used to own.
