Be prepared for noise. The new Rineharts look great however, along with power comes noise. Several months ago, I purchased Rinehart black True Dual for my 2004 Ultra. The exhaust looked great and I got alot of compliments on them. Now the motor had been reworked, with 96' S$S jugs w/9.75 pistons, Mackey Cams, P/P heads, gear drive cams. With the Rineharts, the motor dyno'd at 100 HP.
The Rineharts were to loud fo rme.. To quiet the pipes down, I thought I would pull out the baffels and wrap them with baffel wrap. Ther in lies the problem. To get the baffels out rquired takeing off the mufflers, putting them in a vise and using a hammer and a punch and a lot of WD40 to beat them out.
When I called the new manufacturer, I was told the reason the baffels are thight was to prevent them for ratteling. Prior to buying the new exhausts, I was running a Rinehart 2:1. To remove the baffle require taking off the endcap and pulling the baffel out with pillars.
If the pipes are to loud, and you want to change to a quieter baffel be prepared.
Note: I am not saying anything bad about the new Rineharts exhaust. Mine looked great and did what they said they would do, produce power.
