The right side of my neck hurts, a lot, but ONLY when I am walking. On Tuesday I'm walking out of my professor's office, I only have my iPod and cell phone with me, no bags or books. Going about my way and I feel a sharp pain shoot up from my right collarbone to the ride side of my neck and up to the lower right to middle right side of my head. I had to stop walking, the pain was that great.
Whenever I breathe (as I am walking) it makes it hurt even more and even talking adds on to it as well. This is ONLY when I am walking. I am able to move my neck around all the way, with no pain. It is not sore to the touch or anything.
When I am sitting down it doesn't hurt. Only hurts when I am taking in a deep breath of air will I feel anything. I've been to the doctors (school doctors, I am away at school) and they tried touching my neck, see if it is a sore muscle, but I did not feel any pain nor was it sore.
Took an x-ray, nothing came up, they gave me some painkillers to try and help with the pain and a ice and heat pack. None of that is helping at all. What in the hell is going on?
It's weird, the right side of my neck, mainly that area where there is a dip from your collarbone to your neck and then going up a little, it hurts like hell. I don't think words can describe how much pain I am in when I am walking ( I'm in college so I HAVE to walk to class everyday)
Anyone possibly know anything or had something like this happen to them before? Or advice on how I can help ease the pain, because neck exercises and ice and heat packs don't help.
