Right At Your Door

Looks pretty interesting judging by the trailer.....but why the heck on the posters does it have to mention
there's a twist you'll never see coming? It's flaming well expected now

A "dirty bomb" is set of in Los Angeles and everyone is advised to seal their homes and not let anybody contaminated in or risk death. The main character's wife however gets caught in the middle of it and predictably returns to the house.

The jist of the film is what would YOU do?

I was annoyed at that too Lurcio, I have no self-control and decided to find out what the twist was, wish I hadn't now!

But for those who wanna know, I have been told that

SPOILER ALERT

he dies and she survives...................

Hi - I just seen this film this afternoon - overall very good indeed - and it will certainly make you think - not so much about what would you do but how awful it would be if something like that happened!
Several people have mentioned what it says on the poster and I could not agree more that it ruins what is otherwise an excellent film!
Without giving anything away I left the cinema with one thought............................I need to buy ducktape and now!

I work in a cinema and a lot of people have said that the tagline on the poster has ruined the film for them, hence they would not go and see it. A shame, as from what I have seen of Right At Your Door, it's rather good. Unfortunatly the opening night absolutly bombed (no pun intended).

IMO this movie seemed like it went on for about three hours. Kind of expected it really being low budget an all. Hadn't seen the poster but by the time the 'twist' came round I was so bored I couldn't care less.

I have just come back form seeing it

It is a very long film and I needed to go to the loo in it which I have never had to do during a film yet

I was constantly looking for the twist that was mentioned that I was a little let down by the actual twist

Having now seen the film I can say it's a very well acted rather harrowing piece. The music is also excellent. All the "twist" advertising though is rather overblown and doesn't really capture what the film is really about.

Another sore spot of the film is that:

She is basically responsible for his death

There are loaRAB of posters for this around the city and the first thing that struck me is......

Why the hell would they use a quote that makes it blatantly obvious that there is a twist ending?

Un-funkingkly believably stupid in my opinion.

I just watched it. Up until the end, I liked it... But... Didn't think that it was anything that special. The twist (thankfully I didn't read about it beforehand) really made the movie. I was sat here, eyes wide, mouth open... It was really well done.

The very polarised opinions of this film are interesting.

I saw at the cinema last year and loved it. Yes, it's very slow moving but is eerie and harrowing throughout, with excellent performances from the very small cast.

As I understand it, this film hasn't had a US cinema release.

this has just finished on bbc1 right now, and unfortunately i managed to miss almost the whole of the last ten minutes, so would really appreciate if someone could tell me what happened :D

sorry for the bump, couldn't find a recent thread about this film, and hoping that some of you were watching it as its literally just finished right now on bbc1 :)

Me too. Really enjoyed the film
but would've been a bit dissapointed if it wasn't for the twist. I too was sat there with my jaw to the floor in shock!
I didn't think it was too long either? it killed an hour and a half on a boring sunday night!

ok basically........

the army people came in the suits and masks etc.... they dragged her away first........ then spoke to him.... and told him that because there were a few spores inside the house (where she broke the glass) and he had sealed everything off... it had made the perfect environment for the spores to mutate into a new... much deadlier virus....

they boarded up all his doors and windows,, put a massive tent around the house... and started pumping deadly gas in to kill him...

He couldn't get out... dies on the porch... she gets put into an ambulance, and is told she might make it (its assumed she does)

The end
