Right Angle Math Question?

the value of 2x will be two times the value of x. if it gives you the total value (lets call it y) then y = x + x + 2x (sums of all the sides)

The 2x side is the hypotenuse (opp. side from right angle) because it must be longer than the other sides according to geometric rules and 2x>x
 
I have a math question where I need to find the sides of a right angle, one of the sides are '2x', then the other two sides are 'x'. What does '2x' mean? I already found the other 2 angles, I'm just not sure about the sides.
