Riddle: Why does 2+2=11?

This is a riddle. I know the answer, but I want to see how many people can figure it out. I also want to know alternative answers, so feel free to get creative!

2 and 2 (if you put them togeter it is.....) is 22...... divided by 2 equal 11.

Because you want it to equal 11, so it must be 11. If you wanted it to equal 5, the answer would be 5.
