A father and son are having a conversation. The father turns to the son and says:

"You know, son, there was a time when I was twice the age of your mother, ofcourse, the next year, I was only one and a half times her age, but still, that's pretty amazing, eh?"

If the father is 44, how old is the mother?


please help.
 
The mother is 43....when the father was 2 the mother was 1....the year after the father was 3 and the mother was 2...so the mother is a year younger !!!
