Riddle...please answer!?

This is a riddle I found on another yahoo answer, but there was no answer to it, and I can't figure it out:

3 men went into a hotel. The men behind the desk said the room is $30. So each man paid $10 and went to the room. A while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only $25. So he sent to bellboy to the 3 guys' room with $5. On the way, the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split $5 evenly between 3 men, so he gave each man $1 and kept the other $2 for himself. This mean't that the 3 men each paid $9 for the room which is a total of $27 plus the $2 that the bellboy kept for himself = $29

Where is the other dollar?

i stole it, lol idk you got me, i don't understand cuz because if $25 stays in the counter and each men got 3 dollars and the bell man had 2 cuz he took it, it equals 30

The men paid $27. $25 went to the hotel and $2 went to the bellboy. $25 + $2 = $27. They got $3 of their $30 back. $30 - $3 = $27.

the answer is there is no missing dollar u need to subtract from the thrity not add from the 25

30-3=27
25-2=25
