Now, the debate in the house today was entirely over the jobless extension package for $34 billion dollars. The Republicans all agreed that $34 billion dollars was fine to give to unemployed Americans. Nrabroad
one said that they didn't agree this money was worthwhile. However, they spoke of using either Economic Stimulus Package money (which still has $300 billion unspent) or unused TARP money to pay for it. They also spoke specifically of the failed programs that in turn were cut off from allocated ESP funding that was now free for rabroad
her uses.
The Democrats repeatedly vilified the Republicans for nrabroad
having this kind of fiscal responsibility during the Bush years, yet somehow stood on their side that adding it to the debt without paying for it was somehow more worthwhile since it was going to unemployed Americans. They did nrabroad
ever address why they should nrabroad
use unspent ESP money and in turn would just borrow from China increasing our national debt.
There is NO reason that money shouldn't come out of the failed ESP funds. More people believe Elvis is alive then that the ESP worked to create more jobs. What the hell is wrong with the Dems? Why can't they see this kind of ignorance and just agree that paying for it with ESP funds instead of adding more debt would be the fiscally responsible thing to do that would also go directly into the pocket of unemployed Americans?
Ironically, a representative from Washington who was a Democrat spoke of how the parties will meet again in November when this extension runs out and needs to be extended again (as it has before). Wow, I can't believe he used that as an argument when all he was doing was admitting the ESP is failed and that jobs will nrabroad
be created anytime soon.
