Riddle I cant solve.?

My science teacher often sends out little emails with hypothetical situations, or riddles and things and he tells us to reply with our best answer and we get a few bonus points. Well usually I come up with witty answers to his questions but this time I'm stumped.

Here's the question.

"There are six eggs in the basket. Six people each take one of the eggs. How can it be that one egg is left in the basket?"

I don't know.. lol any ideas?

Someone gets in the basket with their egg...presuming its a big basket or a small person.
