If six kitties climb five trucks, and four of those trucks flip, how many kitties are crushed? Explain.

# A man gives you eight puppies, and tells you all except one weighs the same; you have reason to believe he's telling the truth. He further gives you a balance scale and tells you that if you can tell him which puppy is the fat or thin one only making 3 measurements, he'll give you 1 million dollars. How do you proceed to tell which puppy is the fattest (it's either fat or thin, but you have no idea which), only making 3 measurements? Explain.
it's a riddle, please don't give me 1 second made of thought answers =D

1. none. cats climbed on trucks, then off again before any driving or fliping.

2. I agree with the_mad, except I think you need to know if the puppy is fat or thin before you start or it dosen't work.

1.It could be a toy truck or all the kitties could have climbed the one that didn't flip or soooo many other possibilities.

2.put 4 puppies on each side. Lets say side 2 is lighter put half of side 2 on side 1 and leave the other half the same. say half one is lighter. Put one puppy or side two and leave the one that is on one. The puppy that is lighter is the lightest.

1. None, cats have 9 lives, they still get 8 to go

2. 1st: you weight 2 puppies vs 2 puppies
they are either same or different, if they are the same, you have four identical puppies, if they are different then the remaining is identical puppies.
this way, you'lll have, 4 identical puppies and 4 containing 1 odd puppy.

2nd: you weight two of the identical puppies and weight them against two of the remaining puppies; if they are the same weight, you weight one of the remaining two with one of the identical 4 from the first round and you've got your odd puppy.

now, if they are different, the two puppies are gonna be either heavier or lighter, which determine if the odd puppy is heavier or lighter.
so you measure the two with odd puppies against each other and you have your odd puppy!

now, where is my 1000000 $$$
$) $$$$$$$$$$$$$

its basically like this
4 A & 4B
2from 4A vs 2 from 4A
then, we'll have either 4A are identical or 4 B are identical, lets say 4A are identical

then we divide 4B into 2C & 2D

we measure
2C against 2 from 4A

case 1: same weights
then you measure one from 2D against one from 4A
and you have your odd puppy

case 2: different weight,
then you measure 1 from 2C against 1 from 4A
and you got your odd puppies

and this is why i hate dogs and i prefer cats
