A man gets aftershave for his birthday. He puts it on, and a few hours later he dies. Why?
We are doing this riddle in English, and none of us can get it! We have been doing it for weeks. Usually, I am the one to get the puzzles (I have gotten four of the six we've done) but I am stumped! So, please, don't ask for the answer if you don't have it because I do not know it!
Other information that I know from asking the teacher (we are allowed to ask him questions yes/no and he answers them)
~Nothing was attracted to the scent
~An animal did not kill him
~Someone purposefully tried to kill him
~It was not poisoned
~It was not because of evaporation
~He did not kill himself
~It would happen with any type of aftershave
~He didn't do anything unusual or reckless
~It had nothing to do with the bottle
I also tried google searching it but I got nothing. Do you guys know what it could be?
Oh, no I forgot that part. He's not allergic either. That was another thing we asked.

and another thing:
He didnt cut himself (He had no wounds)
and he died because of the aftershave. We asked him what aftershave was (to clarify) and he said, you put it on after you shave to soothe the skin and it is scented.
