Rick Perry: Middle Income America Don't Pay Enough Income Taxes

i dont give a flying fuck.

make then send a check every april 15th like the rest of us so they fucking understand government handouts arent free money.

even if its pennies its fucking principle

sure that bothers me too. welfare is welfare, it's wrong no matter who gives/gets it, if it's democrats they love giving free stuff to people to guarantee future votes, if it's republicans they love giving free stuff to corporations to guarantee future votes, both are equally wrong and cynical

why do you people not realize the countries w/ the highest quality of life tend to have the smaller income gaps.

Social programs are a requirement to maintain a high standard of living. like it or not that's the way it is.

as someone else mentioned, focus more on creating jobs than stifling the lower classes even more.

Did you read the article, or are you just going on your own incorrect assumptions??
Read:

That lowest two 'quintiles' (ie: 40 percentile) are mostly composed of the "More than 1/3" (ie: 33%) mentioned in the article who make less than $20k/year. They don't pay income tax because their income is below the poverty line.

If you'd actually read the article before jumping to conclusions, you would realize that your assumption about "very few people live in poverty" is wrong.

The wealthy class already does this and doesn't buy shit from China.

Its the lower-classes that shop at Walmart and want $100 flat screen TVs that support cheap labor for cheap products. They don't realize they're cannibalizing their own jobs.

There's a huge lack of empathy in certain groups in this country. People just don't care about anyone except for themselves. (and the deluded folks who want to cut taxes on the rich, in hopes that someday they themselves become rich ).

I think all conservatives ought to be given regular doses of ecstacy, in order to boost their empathy.

Exactly. People want their cheap shit so they are OK with jobs being sent to China to make it but then they get mad when Americans are on welfare because there are not enough jobs. It's all relative. If you want lower taxes you will need to start paying more for products and services.
