Richard Harris has died.

Acting legend Richard Harris has passed away at London's University College Hospital at 7pm today it has been announced tonight.

Heartfelt wishes to the family of the superb Irish born actor who has become known to a new generation of film fans with his role as Professor Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films.

Harris recently completed filming on the second film which is due out in cinemas next month.

Richard Harris was 72 and leaves three sons.
 
I thought he was a great actor.

Not only that he was Irish, a total pisshead and very talented.

You're right. I'm embarrassed to admit that I had forgotten. :o Initially I thought he was dead, but seeing the thread (I thought it was new) I thought I was mistaken.

No excuses though. I should have remembered.
