So I installed the new software for t-mobile about 1am this morning. So far I am very pleased with it. A biggest difference I've noticed has been with the t-mobile zen theme. The main screen looks fine but when you press the menu button instead of a list of applications it displays them as icons. Similiar to t-mobile uk zen theme.
Also. For those customers who have yahoo accounts- and it didn't display before-now you the icon for those mailboxes have the yahoo "Y!"
You definately don't have to worry about the ABC icon in the top right hand corner anymore unless you are trying to type in a field.
They really cleaned up the layout as well. New icons in your media folder (well they are sharper). New icon for the instant messenger. And easier/simplified menu options. Ex-when I went to move an icon I pressed the menu icon and I saw the following options. Move icon, hide icon, switch application. The full menu in the message option has been simplified as well. In the media player when playing a song with a long title the title will scroll across the screen. Also when you have your playlist up it shows you the song info as well as the length of the song.
One of the best things ever with this upgrade has been no answer delay. Its a beautiful thing.
Overall I feel this is a great piece of work. And I say this in the nicest way. T-mobile really made this software idiot proof. It's easy to operate and understand. I think part of that was done because of the free voice add on. That will allow you to utilize. Mms/tzones/instant and bb messenger/and not have to get a data plan or have "data connection refused" displayed across the top of the screen.
I've noticed the only negatives I'm noticing-yes-there is a negative-is that they make the keypad very sensitive and when typing if I type great to fast it spells out geeeat. (if you use multi-tap you'll see what I'm saying). Using suretype you don't have that issue.
Last but not least I noticed when I loaded this software to my device it didn't install any of my applications I downloaded OTA or through the desktop manager. So you may have to redownload those applications again.
Well those are mine anyone else care to share what they've noticed
