I saw it at 00.31 & must say visually its the best sci-fi movie of all time. However its let down by a crap script & crap acting i would give it 7/10 definately better than episodes 1 & 2. But no where as good as episode 5. What are your views?

Better than the first two but Lucas should be hung for some of the dialogue he writes. He cannot write to save his life.

Entertaining film for what it is, but ultimately its a real let down. Vader is in it for about 2 minutes! Grrr!

McDiarmid totally steals the show though. I'd give the film 7/10 too. This is what the first prequel should have been, instead of all that fannying about with Anakin as a kid and then the shite romance.

Not bad but not great. Enough Star Wars now, I think. I'm glad its the last one.

i really loved this film, only cos it craps all over ep 1 and 2! i tried not to compare them to 4/5/6 because they are from another era, it would be hard to compare, times are different now.it kicked ass compared to them, r2d2 kicking ass, jar jar binks not speaking, c3po not doing any gay stuff, it was dark, moody and down right what i wanted in episode 3. there is only one thing that let this movie not get 10/10 for me and thats vader saying NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol cmon this aint the simpsons;) i knew vader wudnt be in it long, you would have to add another hour on if u wanted lots of vader! plus i have a question, what did yoda say to obi wan about qui gon??

also did anyone else notice when general grevious smashed the cockpit & got sucked in to space at the beginnig, metal shutters closed across stopping the jedi's being sucked into space then in the next shot the glass was back

Jar Jar appears in a couple of scenes but doesn't speak.

Greivous wasn't nearly as threatening as he should have been. The 'most feared Jedi killer in the galaxy' has a brief fight with Obi Wan before meeting a humiliating demise.

The film was brutally edited in parts; there'll be a wealth of material left over for the DVD.

Portman and Christensen's acting hasn't improved; sure, they're working with a dud script, but their performances are more wooden than the Amazonian Rainforest.

You'd be hard pressed to find Anakin remotely scary. Most laughable of all was his's main reason for turning to the Dark Side; to 'save' Padme. After having wiped out every person in the Jedi Temple, he's back in her arms, talking of his love for her. What a joke!

Jar Jar appears after Grieivous' Ship crash lanRAB, and mutters the worRAB 'scuse me'. He also appears at the end in the funeral scene looking sad, but doesn't say anything. So he only has two worRAB.

I personally thought that the film was great, much better than the other two prequels, although I still enjoyed them all.

Palpatine was amazing!!!!!!

jar jar binks had no real air time this time. but yeah it was just weird seeing vader having this emotional moment when really he is this hard as we know from the earlier eps, reminded me of the dalek ep of dr who lol

I saw the film last night (19/5), and I must admit it was one hell of a film.

Shame it got interrupted ten minutes in by the sodding film snapping on Anakins and Obi Wan's attempted escape from the ship. But overall I really did enjoy it.

I did feel like the ending was rushed. All the remaining loose enRAB of the link between that and Ep.4 seemed to be dealt with too quickly.

But out of the entire series I still think Empire is my fav :D

Erm, thats becuse the 'black glass' was the metal shutters!

Anyway, whats with this new thread. There is already a review thread for this, and why would someone who thinks its rubbish bother starting a new thread?
