I bought a toyota celica vvti recently.
I noticed that if I'm driving at gear 3 at 20mph, and I step on the gas, around 40mph when the RPM is at 3000, sometimes the RPM jumps a little bit higher and then falls back down (this is while the speed is going up).
Is this the clutch slipping? Or is it some sort of torque limiting feature?
(It doesn't seem to happen in gear 1, and when I put it in gear 4 while going at 15 mph, the car stalls, so it looks like the clutch is doing something right..)
