Being a former employee at best buy, and a customer service representitive, i can assure you that if you can't package it back into selling condition, they won't take it, however if you had the plastic and make firm statements that "I didn't want it" they would have taken it back after being displeased and speculative.

Hello, I have a graphics card that i just bought this morning. I looked online if I could find a better graphics card, and I found one thats way better AND cheaper. ( i should have done this before). I am wondering if I can return a graphics card back to bestbuy, but the box is opened, i threw away the plastics, but I have everything including the receipt.

Just say that it randomly displays artifacts, sometimes after an hour and sometimes during boot up. You just want a refund and act disappointed.

Sorry, but Best Buy requires the original repackaging. Even if you did have that, they'd charge you a 15 percent restocking fee. Check the back of your receipt...it should have all the information there.
