Okay this thread might annoy those who get very annoyed by very excited LOTR freaks (me being on of them lol, and i'm a girl, bless)! So a warning to those who are of the description above........This thread may not be for you!
But to those here who like LOTR then heres a treat. You all may know that there has been a huge Comic-Con in the US lately. It's a convention where the big and small studios show-off their blockbusters to the invited audience and blag about how good they are going to be.
But at the weekend New Line showed a preview of the 'soon-to-be-released' extended edition of lord of the rings: The return of the king. A massive 50 MINUTES of new footage have been added on, mostly made up of more CG work and a few small things from the book.......As well as the missing battle between Gandalf and the witchking and also Saruman and Wormtongue stuff.
Anyways heres some screen-snaps of the packaging-

Oh and by the way if you are wondering what those model buildings are in the above link, well they are models designed by WETA of Minus Tirith (the white building, thats where that huge battle takes place in the movie) and Minus Morgul (witch kings home). They'll both be available in the collectors gift set edition. The blue box though - http://www.theonering.net/scrapbook/group/1456/view/13490 ,is the actual DVD cover for the special EE DVD.
And, er, if this wasn't enough for yay, a sneaky little LOTR fan sneaked into the convention and filmed the Ad previewing the DVD. And heres the link below= (Windows media)

P.s. Don't be alarmed by the huge crowd noises in the 2 minute video lol. They are just some over hyped up fans screaming at all clips lol. But watch out and listen for the woman who keeps saying "Oh my gawd" and "Ooooh", lol shes funny.
