Agent Express Vu, PLease, please stop posting this inaccuracy, .

It is NOT FREE, an existing customer is charged for ALL the work carried out. They get a Programming Credit equal to the cost of installation.

Installing a 6100 for an existing Customer STARTS at $75.
Installing a 9200 for an existing Customer STARTS at $125.

Most HD installs for existing customers who already have 3 or 4 receivers runs int a small fortune, $225 to $350 are normal charges.

Yes the customer gets back these charges as Programming Credits but do not forget that our government still gets its cut as the customer still has to pay all tax's on these charges.

I reiterate, it is not FREE.

I want my HD TV I was calculating it with the current 3100price, now 100$

Steve you won't get all the HD channels keeping your old Super 7 pack, you will have to update it to our new packages

My reciever is free for a year, 20$ charge and $20 credit on each bill. Inital $100 charge was charged to my cc and refunded on my bell one bill which is paid by my cc so i didn't notice anything. no programming credits.

Express Vu have always had differing standards for customers so I say go get the best deal you can.

They operate on several different levels.

I find it very difficult to work out "exactly" how a new installation can be deemed a High Value Customer and they therefore get preferential treatment.

Go and get what you can, they have never given me anything, good luck to you.

Just to recap on that thread:

Nimiq 1 you posted (post #10) installation is NOT FREE
PlayinTV fan (post #14) says he got installed FREE
Dosborne (post #15) also says he got it FREE
Steve0 (post #25 and #32) also got it FREE

And you post again, Nimiq 1 (post#36) saying this time that UPGRADE IS FREE when you don't have Nimiq 2 and YOU HAVE TO PAY when you have Nimiq 2. Exactly what I was saying since the beggening

I'm confused here..do you finally agree that it's free for client who don't have Nimiq 2, or not?

:P AGENT EXPRESS V: DEFENDER OF THE VU! SINCE 2005 :P Sorry its just the impression that I get..

I think the whole concept of "Saves" departments are kind of silly. Why offer anything to customers when at the end of the offer they're going to want something else again. Gotta cut the umbilical cord sometime with some people.

I'd be interested to hear what an employee programming discount is with BEV and other service providers. I think Shaw's is 26.95 for all cable channels short of PPV and if you bundle it with Shaw Digital Home and Shaw Cable Internet its 90.00 or something crazy low like that.

I agree that pricing policy should be the same for everyone, and it isn't. Calling and lying about a deal you were never offered should be grounds, if caught, for being banned from all associated services. If it had been a legitimate offer you were seeking to get them to match I'd have less of an issue with that.

(why is it that nobody can seem to spell my name correctly? It is written right there on the page :) )

Agents of Bell Express Vu in Dorval get 35% discount on all Bell services and full discount of their Express Vu (not including movies and games)

Agents at call centers other than Express Vu (NCO, Teleperformance, Nordia) get absolutely nothing. There was a buy occasion 2 months ago where we could get receivers free, but it was upon activation of a new account.

Your $100 was for the Rental Kit, fully refundable.

Don't know why you were not charged for the installation, watch for it on your next bill.....lol

Sweet. It's a nice HD PVR offering 25 hrs of HD recording.

Does this lock you in for two years? or one? If Bell launches MPEG-4 channels before your contract is through you won't be able to receive them without paying fees to break your contract and start over.

How did you make out in HD upgrade fees to replace your dish and re-wire your home?

Show me where in my Post I say "Installation is FREE".

You damned well can't........

Speaking of things I think are silly, I also don't understand how a company can contract out a call center and expect great customer service. I'll add that to my list of "Things I shake my Head at."

Also no offence to Agent Express V, but people are going to believe what they want. Frankly once the rabbit is out of the hat and you say you work for a service provider whose board you post on you do lose all credibility. Hence "Work For Bell" or "ShawTSR" (kinda, but I think he/she may stopped posting for a good reason), or GHodgson from the *C board which lasted all of about 2 weeks. Thats my opinion anyways. You can argue until your blue in the face about policy and fact, but a lot of BEV customers are under contract anyways so complaints/misconceptions should be taken with a grain of salt. I mean whose going to pay a dso fee really :P.

Sorry I just got your name wrong in another thread. I will add your name to my spell checker, sorry dosborne.....

Nimiq 1 an existing client that decides to go HD will have to pay for the upgrade kit, but will get free install of the receiver (our Nimiq2 free upgrade promo) and be credited the upgrade kit. If he us renting the receiver he would have to pay the rental certificate (activation credit) which will be refunded on his BEV bill.

My friend just had an HD TV and receiver installed afew months ago. She had purchased the receiver and was with Express Vu for only a year an a half, still under contract. When she added her HD PVR shehad to pay the upgrade kit on her credit card, and then got refunded on her Express Vu bill.

I was thinking of going rental with a 6100...wanna wait until new receivers are out to buy one of those. I paid a rental certificate (50$) on my credit card. Also paid the upgrade kit (90$ I belive) on that same credit card. The credits for that both appeared on my bill which I received 2weeks after I did the installation. There was no charge for the technician, just as they told me.

No wonder people are complaining about service at BEV. If reps like Nimiq1 come on the site, and when you post here as a rep it's because usually you think you know your job, and misinform clients, they probably misinform the clients on the phone as well. In this case it would be a good surprise for the client (he thinks he'll pay the install and gets it free), but in other cases it could make the client unhappy, therefore causing call backs and supervisor calls

This is exactly what I was charged. Free install (although I already had the 20" dish and SW44), $100 charge up front which was credited on my next bill.

The credit came off the base amount, therefore before tax or the adjustement included the taxes, I forget which off hand, but I know I checked to ensure I got the proper amount back.

I must admit I am used to having to phone back in to get the credits I was promised, but this was the first case where everything went as planned.
