It's probably something you should discuss with your doctor, but my 87 yr. old mother has a resting heart rate of 90 and always has. My dad and I, on the other hand, have resting heart rates of 55-60. Check your pulse three or four times a day and keep a record for a couple weeks. Next time you go to your doctor, share this info with him/her. Do you have a blood pressure cuff? That would also be valuable info for your doctor to know. I believe we're all very different individuals and if 88 is normal for you and you're not experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, or high BP, you're probably ok. But still--keep a record for your doctor's information. I am also trying to lose weight and it's not easy at all! :dizzy: Hang in there.
