Restaurant City, how can I make my people rest when I'm away?

Every night before I log off, I take off the door so nobody comes in, and put all my employees to 'rest', but in the morning, the door is gone, but they're all lying on the floor with 'food food or rest' above their heads. How can I get them to stay asleep?

I think you didn't press save because if you didn't save your Restaurant City would be the last time you went on or there must be a problem.
