Restarting

I was wondering if any of my fellow tmobile users of the 8320 had there phone automaticially restart?

Nope.

Do you have the Beta OS on your Curve? That has been reported to cause restarts. Taking the media card out is said to resolve it, some have had luck with reformatting the media card.

Actually no iam using the standard os 4.2. So iam not sure.

yea it happens sometimes, when the bb is running under a load ive seen, just clear out the temp internet files from the browser and clear out the event log (alt+lglg) and restart it, i usually do a battery pull once a week for good measures, i dont have that much of a problem anymore with it restarting. its something in the OS, just have to wait for the new OS to drop, hopefully that problem will be fixed.

Call the vm and listen to the message in it's entirty, then delete and listen to the menu options completely. once all the menu options have run through hit * to return to the main menu. If you do not have a message in your vm at this time call yourself from another line and leave yourself one, then follow the instructions. This should get the notification to go away. The vm system uses a silent sms to trigger the notification and sometimes when you don't listen to the message completely the system does not send the sms to remove the trigger. Hope it helps.

Set unanswered call forwarding to forward to the suicide hotline or something like that. That will stop her. LOL

I've done that already and then icon goes away. But every time I restart my phone it comes right back.

Gee i dunno. The phone has very little (if any at all) control over the icon pop. It is mainly controlled by the vm platform. I would try it again then clear the event log (alt+ lglg then menu and clear log) and pull the battery. If it still does not work then i would call tmobile and see if it is an issue in the network. Depending on what they say possibly backing up the info on the pc and wipe the phone. See if the icon comes back after a battery pull with no info on it.

I talked to T Mobile and got the icon off. But the restart problem they say could be a bad battery. So imma go to the T Mobile store and get an new battery. If that doesn't work he says I qualify for a replacement.

O YESSSS....everytime i take the battery out and put it back in, the "new voicemail" icon comes back.
