Home > Gaming > Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall details…
By Adam Rosenberg — June 6, 2013

Titanfall. That is the title of the debut game from Respawn Entertainment, the studio founded by ex-Infinity Ward bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella. There’s been much speculation about the unreleased game, but the title and a handful of details are now out in the wild thanks to a prematurely published copy of Game Informer’s upcoming issue on Google Play (via NeoGAF). There’s no way to verify any of the information at this time, though we’ll be hearing plenty more when E3 2013 kicks off on June 11.
Titanfall is reportedly coming to Xbox One and PC, with an Xbox 360 version in the hands of another, unnamed developer. It’s a first-person shooter built around both on-foot combat and mech combat, with players stepping into the role of “Titan” pilots. The game runs on the Source engine and it apparently makes heavy use of cloud computing via its online connectivity, though a “One-Player Mode” reportedly joins both campaign multiplayer and adversarial multiplayer.
The NeoGAF post shares even more details, though bear in mind that all of this info remains unconfirmed in any official capacity. Stay tuned for more news as we hear it.
