Resident Evil: Degeneration (a CG movie) in 2008

Hopefully it'll be closer to the games, and won't have Paul Anderson's involvement.

And to sweeten the deal, maybe offer a CG look that hasn't been done in the games?
 
I hope this Resident Evil movie is actually based on the game it's supposed to be freaking based on.

No mary-sues, kung-fu action, or heavy metal please. Make this one actually FEEL like I'm watching a Resident Evil movie.
 
Might be a good idea to internationally release this as "Biohazard" to avoid associations with the rest of the RE movies. If it's a strong enough movie, it won't need the RE name to sell it (it hasn't really done a good job selling the other movies as is), and game geeks will know what it's based on anyway.
 
I wouldn't think there would be any confusion, afterall the games came out first.

I think this could turn out pretty well, btw this isn't the first "Biohazard" CGI, a 22 minute "movie" came out in Japan around the time of RE3.
 
At this point, ANYTHING would be a step-up from the RE movies. Even if they turned it into a slapstick comedy, it'd be a million times better than the shlocky scripts of the past three films.

That's not to say it would be a great movie. After all, Final Fantasy Advent Children was a fan-favorite, but I found it particularily boring and poorly animated.
