Reset Endings

I don't know if there's already a thread for it, but, when you finish a cartoon series for good, one of the best ways, and my fave way, is with a reset ending, in which a cartoon's storylines starts all over. So what of you?

I'd rather have a series end with the characters moving forward with their lives, not going back to the beginning. Gargoyles (Hunter's Moon), Conan the Adventurer, Justice League, and others had strong endings with the characters basically continuing their adventures well after the shows end.

I'd rather not have another ending like Mighty Max, where they throw 40 episodes of continuity away in five minutes.

I dislike reset endings. It's the only thing I didn't like about the Mighty Max series. I like a good ending with closure. Maybe a flash forward to the future of the characters a bit but not too far in case they decide to bring it back.

I was okay with the way Mighty Max ended because I wasn't sure where the show would go after the defeat of the skull king or who ever he was. Plus it was a definet end and made re-watching the show fun too.. It'd be cool to make a new season with small differences and Max figuring out what happened half way through... but once again how would you finalize that?

Having characters continue the adventures isn't really an ending.

One of the more infamous and frustrating examples of this are
The Big O's cop out ending. Though, I guess it reseted with one major difference so not everything was worthless

Butch Hartman has some infamous resettings.

FOP was the ONLY exception in the 2003 movie Abra Catastrophe but then he did it in DP's Reality Trip and it made me think Butch needed a Reality Check.

Memory erasing is almost always associated with reset buttons. They're the quickest, simplest and more stereotypical means of answering the "What if" questions.

What if so-and-so knew his/her friend,sister,brother,child,mother,father,etc. had these powers,etc.

I saw it once,I don't need to see it again in another show.
