I'm writing a paper about the varied religion of voodoo (voudon/santeria) and the like and its influence. I would like to know more about how voodoo has traveled overseas, specifially to France and Britain. I know that "free persons of color" and slaves who were granted their freedom often left the United States for those two countries, and I was wondering if the voudon religion followed them, and if so, is it still a thriving and growing religion there as it is in the United States. Any help in this, such a references and other research as well as books, would be greatly appreciated.
