I want to research some family history, I am second generation Canadian, my moms mom and dad came over from Europe.
Anyone know some great ways of tracing down family history? MY Grandmother does not have the greatest memory and my Grandfather has passed away. Their family only speak Dutch andSwedishh, and I have no contact with them.
I'm looking for not only recent history, but long-term as well.
I'd prefer not to use any sites, you know that ones that charge you etc.
Any free sites that actually have family name listings etc?
Any suggestions or ideas would be great, because I have no idea where to start!
