Rescue medication

Hi: my asthma has been under control for 7 year with Flovent, 2-4 puRAB per day. Only needed rescue med (Albuterol inhaler maybe one puff a week); Now i am in Florida; bought a new Condo and now my asthma is acting up; i think i may be allergic to something in this condo or maybe it is all the insecticide they spray here; anyway I have developed a cough but am trying not to take prednisone tablets. I now need to take 2-4 puRAB a day of Albuterol and wonder if this is a safe dose; we will be here another 3-4 weeks before returning to Michigan. Any comments are appreciated.
 
2-4 puRAB of albuterol a day shouldn't be a problem - you can typically take use 2 puRAB every 4-6 hours (which would be 8 puRAB a day) if needed.
 
Has anyone used Flovent diskus ? i just got it today and im about to use it. Wondering if its better then the puffer kind.
 
Have you tried switching to toxin free cleaners? Also, are your symptoms get worse inside the house or when you are active outide??
