request recommendation worldphone

I am a new member and way below the knowledge level of the average user of this forum. I am looking for a recommendation for a phone that will meet the following requirements:
Quad phone OEM factory unlocked
Nokia or Sony Ericsson (or others if any are better suited to needs)
half decent camera
bluetooth
Very good reception
Small in size for travel.
Will be used infrequently for travel purposes with SIM card to U.S. primarily and maybe Europe. I have another cell phone for local use (pay as you go type).
I have done extensive internet searching and am now confused
I have NO need for music/headset/MP3 features. I just want a good working quadband world phone with a camera and potential internet access if I need it in the future. Any suggestions? Sorry if this post is unsuitable for a forum that has so many tekkies.

I am probably one of the more clueless people on here but you might check out my current post/thread to see some possible phones and other information (especially from recent posters)...I would also suggest reading up on the tutorial/introduction type things CNET has...of principal interest for you and I this introduction to world phones and this is the link to the introduction to the cell phone buying guide that the world phone section is in...

Good luck!

P.S. I would much appreciate if you would pass on if you find one or come across any other information, etc.

Look at where you will use the phone - where you live, work, play and travel. Talk to family, friends, coworkers etc and find out what service they use. If usage is predominantly in the US, then that makes the choice easier. If you will have a lot of travel outside the US that complicates things.

Both Verizon and Cingular off the best service in the US, followed by Sprint and T-Mobile. However, since you plan on traveling to Euorpe, Cingular and T-Mobile are the choices since they are both GSM which is compatible with most European networks. T-Mo is probably the best since it is German owned in the first place.

Since you can unlock most any GSM phone, a more expensive factory unlocked device really isn't necessary.

Thanks to all the folks who have replied to my post and also sent links. I am seriously considering the Samsung SGH-D900 or Sony Ericcson 810i. I do not want any attachment to a specific carrier as I plan to buy Sim cards with different carriers in the U.S. (or Europe) depending on where I will be travelling. (I live in Canada.) Some information I read indicated that the factory unlocked are best for these purposes for some reason carrier related. There is alot to absorb on this subject
